Lessons

Now I have my Big Girl easel, my paintings are coming along more slowly due to their size but they are a joy to do.  I can relate to this mother swan...and her son.

This is a large painting done of my favourite places in the world, Killbear Provincial Park in Georgian Bay.  I changed my approach on this to render the shapes and not be so tied up in accuracy.  I have painted this scene many times - the next post will show another version.  I really enjoyed the freedom that came with doing this one.
